It seems Instagram continues to add new features to its platform every day. From stories to IGTV, it just doesn’t seem to stop surprising us! Today, learn about adding Alt-Text To Your Instagram Posts in order to get the most exposure possible. But before we do, we want to quickly cover the importance of Alt-Tags and how they can help you in the long run. Don’t worry, we won’t take too much of your time.

What Is Alt-Text?

Most of us have seen the text that appears after hovering the cursor over an image. It’s the same text that appears if an image fails to load or is broken. Basically, alt-text is used to tell search engines and AI (Artificial Intelligence) tools about the characteristics of an image. This alt-text can also be used to describe an image to site visitors who are blind.

Why Alt-Text On Instagram?

Many people may be wondering why Instagram decided to add an alt-text feature for its users. The best answer we could find was SEO. Instagram doesn’t allow its users to find content by using search terms without a hashtag so organization is out of the picture. Essentially, Instagram is trying to boost its SEO to further expand its reach across the internet, specifically for business accounts. The social media platform figured it would save them and make them millions if they could get users to do the organic job for them. If Instagram’s plan works as planned, we’ll be seeing plenty of images from the social media platform on Google in the future. It’ll also turn the platform into an even more desirable place for marketers and businesses. As of now, only businesses with eye-catching content thrive on the platform. It would be a gamechanger if Instagram could attract more companies that prefer other platforms, even if it’s just for advertising purposes.

How To Add Alt-Text To Your Instagram Posts

There are two different ways you can add alt-text to your Instagram posts:

Adding Alt-Text to New Instagram Posts

Once you add your post caption make sure to go to the bottom of the page and Tap on Advanced Settings at the Bottom

The next step is to Tap on Write Alt Text.

Add your Alt-Text on the next screen and remember to Tap Done once you’re finished.

Adding Alt-Text To A Previous Instagram Post

You’ll first want to locate the previously uploaded post you want to edit and Tap on the 3 Dots Button. Next, you’ll Select the Edit Option that appears on your screen.   Once in Edit mode, you’ll simply tap on Edit Alt Text on the Bottom Right of the image. The last step is to simply Enter your desired Alt Text and Save your work by Tapping Done. Simple.

Web Design
Which CMS is better? WordPress or Wix? This debate has been going on for the past few years, and with good reason. Today, the KDH Digital Team be giving you 5 huge reasons to choose WordPress over Wix.

What Are WordPress and Wix?

Both WordPress and Wix are content management systems that make web design and development a lot easier. Thanks to these two content management systems, millions of businesses worldwide have been able to launch and manage their websites to date.

WordPress

A powerful CMS that allows users to customize a website through the back-end of the software. It’s also manageable through the front-end but with limited use unless you’re using a premium plugin.

Wix

A CMS that’s fairly popular for its easy-to-use tools. Most features on a Wix Website can be managed or changed by simply clicking on an element. For this reason, many small business owners launch their official website using Wix.

1. Too Much Up-selling On Wix

Annoying up sales on Wix

Wix

Wix may seem cheap at first, but can gradually end up costing an arm and a leg if you’re not careful. In most cases, Wix allows its users to have a small taste of its premium features. Each feature may only cost a few dollars a month but can end up being too much once the cost is added to your monthly bill.

WordPress

WordPress, on the other hand, offers thousands of “freemium” plugins with free updates. For the most part, you’ll be able to get the most out of these plugins for free without having to pay a dime. There are also over 55,000 different WordPress plugins to choose from. If that’s not enough, these plugins have been downloaded just under 2 billion times!

2. Drag & Drop Is Not Always Fun

Wix

Regardless of how simple Wix may make it seem, its drag and drop feature has plenty of flaws. Drag and drop could push back a final design if you need to move tens or hundreds of images, buttons, and paragraphs around. It may not seem like a big deal at first, but it is time-consuming for those who have a website with more than 10 pages.

WordPress

Some of WordPress’s premium templates allow you to drag and drop elements without having to worry about proper spacing. This eliminates any worries about aligning everything perfectly.

3. Blogging For Content

Blog Posts on KDH Digital Services There’s a reason why most bloggers choose WordPress over Wix. Let’s find out why.

Wix

Don’t get us wrong. Wix allows you to create a great blog, but when it comes down to organization, WordPress is the way to go. After all, WordPress did start off as a blogging platform. When it comes to blogging, Wix doesn’t allow its users to customize posts like they do with pages. This means you’ll have to depend on a regular newsletter template to get your point out.

WordPress

WordPress is the perfect CMS choice when it comes to blogging. This is because the software was created to help bloggers organize their website using tags, categories, RSS, feeds, and other neat features. WordPress also allows you to customize your blog posts by customizing templates to help you communicate your message. This includes features like carousels, animations, and other neat elements.

4. You Might End Up Spending Double

Trowing Money Away with Wix Using Wix to manage your company website can be dreadful if you don’t have the time to manage it well. Wix clients start off using the CMS services because they want to manage everything themselves. But what happens when you don’t have as much time as you used to before? Don’t expect to have time for more if you’re expecting a large number of customers in the near future. Plenty of business means you’ll be able to afford some breathing space and a web designer/developer.

5. E-commerce Websites Thrive On WordPress

E-commerce Cart Online selling has become fairly important among startup businesses. Today, WordPress is used to power up over 42% of all e-commerce websites around the globe.

Wix

Wix offers different tiered e-commerce stores with a paid plan and some useful upgrades. The downside is that Wix only offers payment options through Paypal and Authorize.net. Not to mention the hidden fees it charges sellers per transaction.

WordPress

Again, plugins are extremely important in the world of WordPress. The CMS contains different payment plugins like Woocommerce, Paypal, and others that make it easy for business owners to use once installed. The best part is that some of these merchants have fairly affordable rates for e-commerce sites. WordPress also has the capacity to power up large e-commerce websites without a problem. Overall, WordPress would be the best choice to go with for large online stores.

Bottom Line

As a web services company, we will always choose WordPress over Wix. Of course, if you have enough time to manage your website on your own and prefer simplicity, Wix is your perfect choice. But, if you’re more interested in the best design, SEO, and marketing strategies for your website, hiring a web design company with WordPress experience is the best route to choose. We’re always ready to take on your Web Design, Pay Per Click, and other online projects! Let us know what you think! Is WordPress really better than Wix? Do you have any more huge reasons to choose WordPress over Wix? Is there another CMS better than both? Leave your comments in the section below!

Online reviews exist to help searchers determine whether or not a product or service is right for them. In short, review forums are meant to show potential clients how likely they are to enjoy a product or service. As for why online reviews are important, online reviews can help others find the best products and services in the market. They can also help buyers gather plenty of intel on quality, customer service, and prices. In 2017, 93% of customers said online reviews impacted their purchasing decisions.

The Best Online Review Platforms

Online Review Listings on Google My Business There are hundreds and thousands of online review platforms around the world, but which ones are the best to worry about? Here’s a quick list and description of the top platforms to list your business:

  1. Google My Business
  2. Map Features

Yelp

Another popular review site that has grown much over the last 10 years. Yelp serves as a business directory that allows business users to order food and gain traction. Here are some key features to look for on Yelp’s Platform:
  1. Request a Quote
  2. Bookmark Collections
  3. Yelp Reservations
  4. Cash Back
  5. Ordering Food

Facebook

Facebook’s social media strength is hard to ignore. Due to its high popularity, users on Facebook will usually respond at faster rates than both Google and Yelp. Users also tend to expect faster responses from companies, making it one of the best places to showcase great customer service. Here are some key features to look for on Facebook’s Platform:
  1. Answering Important Business Questions
  2. Product Information
  3. Business Posts
  4. Images & Video
  5. Creating Events
  6. Recommendations

How To Beat Bad Online Reviews

Beat Bad Online Reviews The only bad side of having a business account on social media is the possibility of receiving negative feedback. But don’t fear, negative feedback allows you to grow as long as you take it the right way.

Paying Close Attention To Customer Reviews

Before even thinking about responding to any review, you must examine every individual review from a neutral perspective. That means setting aside your reality and evaluating the review honestly.

Learning From Customer Reviews

Negative reviews can sometimes be a clear indication of issues that need to be addressed within your business structure. Although some complaints may be quick fixes, be on the lookout for recurring complaints. You wouldn’t want to lose business because of the same thing. There are hundreds of people around the Central Texas area that check out 3rd party reviews before making a final decision.

Respond To Negative Reviews The Right Way

The best way to respond to an upsetting review is by acknowledging the customer and addressing what you are doing to fix the problem. Ignoring a review can upset the customer even further and generate a feeling of neglect and carelessness. Instead, try responding as soon as possible with the best response possible. Here’s an example of a proper response to a negative review: “Hey Bill, sorry for the inconvenience. We are now offering booster seats for children for the next time you visit!” Make sure to keep every response polite, otherwise, you’ll receive more backlash in the future. This also shows others who visit the review site that your company actually fixes problems instead of masking them.

Ask For Feedback

Asking an upset customer what you can do to fix the problem is a great way to let the customer feel heard. Of course, always make sure that you limit what suggestions you pay attention to (there are occasional complaints that don’t matter as much as others).

Final Thoughts

Online reputation will forever be important in this lifetime. In most cases, more great reviews mean more business. If you need help managing your online reviews, contact us today for a free quote. Our digital experts are ready to put the best small business practices for you. How have you tried to increase the number of your online reviews? Which review site do you trust most? Social Media, Web Design
We can all agree that technology as a whole has seen plenty of advances over the last 5 years. Technological advances and innovative entrepreneurship have been key to this rapid development. From artificial intelligence to faster reply rates, today’s online resources have generated more room for growth. With Social Media Platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, Instagram, and Pinterest capitalizing on this movement, there’s no surprise as to why social media is evolving. The following article is meant to review how social media is evolving, how it benefits businesses, and features that might appear in the future.

Customer Service

Social Media has dramatically helped how fast large and small companies take care of their customers. Although bad complaints are seen every day, social media has helped businesses make up for mistakes and show why they’re highly trusted. Some companies even answer within seconds thanks to notification systems. There are also companies that use robots to respond to customers in case there’s nobody available to reply. Some companies even use artificial intelligence to gather reports on employee performance and engagement rates.

Tracking and Analytics

Tracking Analytics with MOZ, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram Analytical and tracking tools are the most useful features included with most social media business accounts. Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Google Analytics are extremely helpful for tracking conversion rates. In basic words, these tools help business owners understand when to post and what to post to maximize social engagement. Tracking and analytics are constantly evolving, so you can expect to see better features in the future.

Employment and Shop Listings

It’s hard for us to avoid mentioning two of the most interesting additions to Facebook over the last few years. The Marketplace and Groups have become extremely popular in 2019. These two popular features on Facebook allow millions of people and businesses to post items for sale or offer employment opportunities for little or no cost at all. Today, you can log into Facebook, scroll down, and find almost any item you can imagine up for grabs. Some have even gone as far as posting eats and desserts for sale. Just a few years ago, we had to go to Craigslist or Amazon to do this! Pretty soon social media platforms might start partnering up with large businesses to organize the online shops and become one-stop shops. Don’t be surprised if you start seeing delivery options and stock options on social media in the future. Here’s a list of some items we’ve spotted in the Facebook Marketplace:
  • Antiques
  • Cakes and Pastries
  • Cars
  • Car Parts
  • Clothes
  • Collectables
  • Computers
  • Electronics
  • Furniture
  • Homes
  • Land
  • Phones
  • Rental Homes
  • Shoes
  • Utility Services

Payment Options

Payments on Social Media Platforms Most online users today use payment options provided by social media companies to pay for a service or item. In most cases, it’s safer than paying someone in person or sending a check by mail. B2B and B2C companies can also use these payment methods for small one-time fees if they wanted to. These payment methods have also helped families across the globe transfer money with the touch of a finger and a small fee.

Entertainment

Memes and videos aren’t the only things that appear on social media now. 2018 welcomed popular social media features like IGTV and Streaming on Facebook. From a business perspective, these features allow businesses to create trendy DIY videos, review, and commercials to attract new customers. Now, before jumping into that space with any video you must do some research first. Cision suggests the “rule of 7”, which refers to wowing the audience with great content in less than 7 seconds or you might miss your chance for conversion. This is why you should conduct research and plan out a “script” before going live on social media or publishing a video.

News and Crisis Response

Why watch a weather or news report when you can just Google it or find it on Facebook? It seems we can find everything on the web now. Someone can find news on something that happened hours ago. This advance has led towards newspapers and small television networks to jump into the digital marketing space. This means we can expect many more marketing agencies to pop up within the next 5 years. News and Crisis coverage also promotes more opportunities for advertisement windows.

Pay Per Click Ad Systems

Violet Vector Image of Pay Per Click Marketing Pay Per Click advertisement has wildly increased over the past 3 years and with good reason. According to Search Engine Land, 49 percent of people click on text ads, 31 percent on Shopping ads, and 16 percent on video ads. This means it works! We at KDH Digital Services believe it’s due to the fact that social media platforms allow you to advertise based on demographics and time. This makes it perfect for businesses to target the right audiences at the right time. Contact us if you’re interested in launching a PPC Campaign for your business.

Future Features

Let’s step into the world of possibilities that can come in the near future. With the way social media platforms have been moving lately, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if we see the following features in the future:

Gamification

Social media platforms are slowly rolling out other ways people can monetize content creation. For example, Facebook has already launched live stream gaming options which have been known to pull in serious money for popular gamers on other platforms.

Pay For Ad-Free Social Media

There’s always a possibility of social media platforms monetizing ad-free access to their services. Premium service would certainly be a hit for platforms with over 500 million accounts. Imagine paying around $4 a month for ad-free content! Nowadays, almost everyone would do it to avoid irrelevant ads during 2-minute videos.

Web Design and Customization

It’s only a matter of time before Facebook or Twitter allow you to design your profile with drag and drop options. It would be like MySpace once did, but simpler. We’ve already started seeing diversified posts and colors to get a simple taste of what the future holds in store. Social Media could also benefit from having preset music and animations to add to your videos while posting. Again, people want to show the world what makes them different, so this addition could come to social media platforms.

Final Thoughts

We can’t wait to see what else the future holds in store for the world of social media. Of course, only time will tell if our speculations are correct or if we’ll have to keep waiting for these advances. We also want to know what you think. What types of social media features will we see in the future? If you or your business struggle or don’t have the time to keep up with social media management, contact us today.

Social Media
Let’s be honest, it’s tough to keep up with the latest trends on social media today – especially when there are new memes, challenges, and trends that seem to pop up every other day. This makes it tough for online marketers to create a one-time template and forces them to tailor content by the day. Thankfully, with the development of the World Wide Web, there has also been plenty of developing and marketing companies that have emerged to help simplify managing everyday challenges like social media marketing. Today, our KDH Digital Services team will be answering a very important question – What are Social Media Management Services (SMM)?

What are Social Media Management Services?

A Social Media Management Service is when a business or blogger hires another business to take care of their content and interactions across any social media channel/s. These social networks include Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and more. Simply put, it’s outsourcing all the social media work (posting, replies, and updates) to a marketing company. SMM companies relieve the pressure of keeping up with the latest trends while finding new ways to engage customers.

Types of Social Media Management Services

Finding the Correct Social Media Platforms

Phone with social media apps on the screen Before initiating any social media campaign, SMM companies usually sit down with you to find out about your business social media goals and existing social profiles. Experienced marketers can help steer you in the right direction and cut back on unnecessary profiles or add needed ones.

Tailoring a Social Media Strategy

Coming up with an effective social media strategy is crucial to any SMM campaign. Finding a social media strategy helps to plan out what type of posts to create, how often you’ll post, and when to post. Just remember, different social media networks require a different approach, so you might not be posting the same content on every source. Here’s a quick checklist of all the things you’ll want to consider to create a social media strategy:
  • Are you happy with your current engagements on social media?
  • What posting times seem to work best with your current audience?
  • What social media channels are you using?
  • What social media channels work best and worst for you?
  • What type of content does your current audience respond to the most?
  • What type of audience are you looking to attract?

Creating Social Media Content Schedules and Engaging Posts

Attracting likes, engagements, and customers on social media It’s important to keep customers engaged by posting quality content they’ll love.  Although being consistent is important to launching an effective social media campaign, hounding your audience with content can hurt your performance. You wouldn’t want to run out of great posts to share! Creating a content schedule is a great way to keep track of when and what content is released. This way, you can experiment on what days to post the best content, instead of randomly throwing it on social media. Another big part of successful social media management is creating engaging posts for your audience. This is the part where content creators must get creative and create tailored content that will grasp your audience. To do this you’ll need to have a great understanding of the best practices for creating content for specific social media networks. Of course, it will take some time to research and test out content if you’re barely launching your first SMM campaign.

Scheduling and Publishing Posts for Social Profiles

A hired or contracted social media manager should have access to a social media management platform like Hootsuite that will enable them to schedule and publish posts ahead of time. This allows you to make sure you publish all of your posts at the best time possible. This also allows you to start targetting your audience with plenty of weeks or months ahead of time.

Tracking Social Media Performance

Tracking performance on social media platforms The best way to tackle a social media campaign is by keeping track of your post-performance. This is a neat way of finding out how well people interacted with each post, allowing you to make slight adjustments to future posts. Tracking social media performance will always be a learning process. You’ll find out what works and what doesn’t, allowing you to create better content in the future. You’ll also learn how to determine your social media ROI and decide what resources to focus your efforts on.

Replying to and Engaging Customers, Fans, and Followers on Social Media

Social Media Managers do much more than a quick response to the customer. In short, part of the job requires building relationships with each individual and finding new business opportunities. Creating these relationships with customers allows you to gain loyal clients who might be willing to give great testimonies and share your posts in the future. That’s a big part of what we do at KDH Digital Services.

Why Hire KDH for Digital Social Media Management?

Pay Per Click
In today’s world of digital marketing, Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising is one of the most sought after marketing strategies. The sad truth is that many ad campaigns fail due to the lack of knowledge and experience. You don’t necessarily spend thousands of money to find what works, you just have to identify what doesn’t work. The following article uncovers some of the leading causes (no specific order) why many Pay Per Click Campaigns Fail.

Not Understanding Your Audience

No matter if you’re advertising household products or anything else, your audience will change depending on the product. Understanding who your audience is can help you tailor your content and target the right people. Adwords beginners tend to commit the common mistake of wanting to reach the highest number of people possible. Although you might be able to get more people to learn about your brand, it isn’t always the smartest move. Ad campaigns can be customized to show to a relevant audience, raising your chances of landing better conversion rates.

Not Introducing Your New Products or Services Properly

Boosting brand awareness through advertising and marketing Introducing a fairly new product to an uninformed audience could be tough at first. It’s difficult to get results from an audience who might not even be interested in your products or services, to begin with. So, how can you work around this? Although it’s easier said than done, the best way to approach ad campaigns is by targeting the audience who already follows you or has shown previous interest. If you’re new to the online scene, try putting some time and effort into a branding campaign before starting a Pay Per Click campaign. It’ll help you drive up brand awareness and bring in better results for whenever you do decide to move forward with an ad campaign.

Using Too Many Keywords

Just because you target more keywords in a PPC Campaign, doesn’t mean you’re going to get better results. In fact, about 88% of the keywords used in a PPC Campaign end up performing badly. This means that cutting out those non-performing keywords can help you save some cash and invest it in your performing categories. Customer surveys are a great way of finding out which keywords to invest in. It’ll give you an idea for new key terms you can test out in the future.

Forgetting to Track Your Ad Campaign’s Results

Statistics are essential if you’re looking to run a successful ad campaign. Learning from your results can help you lower your average cost per click, raise your profits, and gain better brand recognition. Here are some valuable questions that can be answered by tracking Pay Per Click Campaigns:
  • Are your landing pages helping you convert?
  • What areas or cities are the ads most popular in?
  • What times are the most popular to publish your ads?
  • Which targeted keywords should you leave out?
  • Who is clicking on your advertisements (Includes gender, age, etc.)?

Bidding Incorrectly

Believe it or not, bidding incorrectly can ruin your chances of being highlighted in targeted search terms. Remember that the highest ad bids aren’t always taken into consideration – the same goes for low bids. If you bid too low, a competitor who has done their research will outshine you and earn a spot in the ad spaces. Now, if you bid too high, you’ll end up reaching your ad spend a lot faster, cutting down on the number of people you can reach.

Neglecting Your Campaign

Dropping chart values Many Pay Per Click Campaigns fail because owners or administrators are spending too little time on managing their campaign. Instead of checking in on your campaign once a month, try updating it once or twice a week. You’ll be able to leave out underperforming keywords and optimize your campaign as it goes.

Creating Low-Quality or Irrelevant Ads

Some of your main efforts should be focused around creating quality content and landing pages for your ads. You’ll have low results if your landing pages are poorly done or look outdated. Don’t worry if you have to redesign or hire someone to do the work for you, you can always pause your campaign and resume it after the problem is fixed. It’s better for you to earn money from a well-designed campaign than to be losing money because of low-quality efforts.

Focusing On the Wrong Indicators

Although keeping your Cost Per Click (CPL) low is favorable, it’s not always a clear sign of success. Your main focus should be profiting from Pay Per Click ad campaigns in the long run. Over time, you’ll learn what keywords are best for your campaign and what approaches work the best.

Final Thoughts

These are the most common reasons why Pay Per Click Campaigns fail to succeed. Fixing these simple errors can help any business turn their PPC Campaigns around and save the company thousands of dollars. It’ll also help you reap the benefits of Pay Per Click Campaigns the right way. For more information on Pay Per Click Ad Campaigns, contact your KDH Digital Services representative. Pay Per Click
PPC Advertisement is one of the fastest growing forms of online marketing today. For most, it is a favorite way of reaching larger targeted audiences by marketers and businesses alike. But what is it that makes Pay Per Click such an attractive form of marketing? Let’s take it a bit further and explore the pros and cons of pay per click marketing.

PPC Pro: Setting Your Own Budget

A great feature offered by all Pay Per Click management systems is being able to set your budget. This means you can limit the amount of money you spend per click, day, month, and other time frames. Being able to set your own budget comes in handy whenever you’re starting to test what works and what doesn’t. For example, you can set your PPC Campaign to spend a limit of 6 dollars a day on clicks. Once your campaign reaches the set limit, no more money will be spent on ads until the next day. PPC Campaigns allow you to set a limit on how much you’re willing to spend per click. The price per click can range anywhere from a few cents to tens of dollars.

PPC Con: Plenty of Competition

Plenty of Competition One downside to Pay Per Click is the number of competitors that may be trying to earn a spotlight for like key terms. Although the competition may not be extremely large, it’s always a smart move to stay up to date with the latest PPC marketing trends.

PPC Pro: Statistics are Measurable and can Get Results in an Instant

In comparison to Search Engine Optimization (SEO), PPC Campaign statistics are highly measurable and allow users to view results in an instant. Google Adwords and Bing Adwords allow you to check how well your ads are doing in real time. This allows you to adjust your campaigns much faster, possibly saving you time and money. Failing to track results is an easy way for your PPC Campaign to fail.

PPC Con: It’s a Paid Service

It’s true, running a Pay Per Click Ad Campaign costs more money than an SEO campaign. That’s why our experts at KDH Digital Services are Google Adwords certified. They can help keep PPC Campaign costs down and avoid unnecessary spending.

PPC Pro: Targeted Niches

Niche Market Pay Per Click ad campaigns allow you to target specific niches, which can raise your ROI. For example, if you’re a local Killeen tire shop owner looking to boost sales, PPC Campaigns allow you to target locals who are looking for tires. This helps prevent you from paying for clicks from someone who wasn’t interested in the first place, saving you money.

PPC Con: No Guarantees for Your Money

Just like any other marketing strategy, PPC doesn’t guarantee that you’ll earn a profit or even your money back from an ad campaign. Many businesses are misguided to believe that if they spend large amounts of money, they’ll get a larger return. The reality is that ROI depends on multiple variables such as product quality, keywords, services, demand, etc. Although PPC is not a complete gamble, make sure you’re willing to lose money before investing in it.

PPC Pro: Global or Local Exposure

Vector image of young people on phones Another advantage PPC provides is exposure. Whether your ad targets local or global audiences, it can definitely boost the amount of audience your ad reaches in a short amount of time. Pay Per Click also allows campaign managers to choose what parts of the globe an ad will appear in. This feature makes PPC a great option for local and international entities who are looking to get the most out of internet marketing.

PPC Con: Time Consuming Research and Execution

Although they may seem easy to do, Pay Per Click ad campaigns take up plenty of time to be executed correctly. There are plenty of variables to take into consideration in order to manage a successful campaign. That’s why most people who run Pay Per Click Campaigns hire a marketing agency to manage everything for them. Of course, you can always try managing your marketing campaign yourself, just make sure you have the time to learn how to maximize PPC in comparison to other competing entities.

Final Thoughts

The Pros and Cons of Pay Per Click are a good thing to know before jumping into this marketing strategy. Every online marketer and business owner should have reliable information about PPC. We at KDH Digital Services can’t wait to hear your thoughts!

We also went ahead and added an extra treat to help you track your metrics. The following article is full of helpful goals you can set for and follow in your Social Media Campaign:

1. Promote Brand Awareness

via GIPHY Brand Awareness is the main reason why most small businesses use Social Media in the first place. It enables any company barely recognized on the map to reach the online community and create a “Convincing Brand Image”. Social Media management does everything you can’t do by word of mouth or even print.

Average Time Spent on Digital Devices

On average, the regular American spends anywhere from 10 – 11 hours a day interacting on computers, tablets, and smartphones. That automatically opens up plenty of doors for reaching out to potential clients and fans. Now that’s a good reason to focus a little more on the digital than on any other form of advertisement.

Contributing Factors of Brand Awareness

Although some of these factors are dependent on outside factors, it’s always a great idea to focus on increasing the following:
  • Followers/Page Likes – Overall amount of people who are following your Business account on a social media network.
  • Reach – Amount of users a post reaches out to in a day, week, or month.
  • Engagements – Overall number of times users interacted with any of your posts.
  • Likes, Shares, and Mentions – More detailed types of engagements on your posts by users.

How to Track Your Brand Awareness

Every social media management platform has different tools that enable small businesses to keep track of online metrics with just a few clicks. For example, one of the more popular analytical tools we use at KDH Digital Services is the Facebook Insights tools. They enable business account managers to keep tabs on all of the brand awareness contributing factors mentioned before (Followers, Likes, Shares, etc.).

2. Reach the Right Crowd

Two women on their iPhones Make sure you determine which niches you will be targeting before starting or continuing your Social Media Campaign. It’s important to gain brand awareness among the right group of people or you won’t see much of a difference in your conversion rates. It’s better to have 100 engaged users than 10,000 users who just scroll past your posts. Sure, getting as many followers as possible is a good way of boosting exposure, but is it really what you’re looking for? Let’s take a moment to look at some simple steps you can make to target the best audience for your company:

Adjust Your Posts Voice/Tone

Are you trying to reach business professionals or common folks? No matter what, you should always be professional and tailor your posts for your intended audience. You should always make sure your social media posts are appealing to your crowd. Of course, if you’re just beginning to share posts on social media platforms, it might take some trial and error to find the right voice for your business profile. Vice versa, if you’ve been using social media for some time now, you may have already found your voice and tone.

Focus on Keyword Search

Throwing in targeted keywords and hashtags when necessary can significantly boost the number of users a  post reaches while targetting the right crowd. This doesn’t guarantee an increase in likes, shares, and follows, but it certainly boosts your chances of conversion.

Posting Relevant Content

It’s easy to get carried away and post about topics that have nothing to do with your business, but it’s not the right move to make. Although it’s okay to post about the occasional holiday, do your best to tie it to your business. Trust us on this one, off-topic posts should be avoided if you want to avoid spammy followers and irrelevant exposure.

3. Driving Traffic To Your Website

Attracting traffic to your website Don’t forget to give your followers a reason to visit your website! Doing so enables you to share specific information about your company that Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram can’t do for you. Here are some quick tips that’ll help you reach your social media goals:

Including Important Links

Users love clicking on interesting links that can help them answer any questions they may have about your business. Although you probably shouldn’t include a link in every post you make, you can definitely include some awesome links that will spark some interest in your website. It’s a great way of boosting traffic and getting your website content recognized. Some examples of Important Links include:
  • Articles/Blogs
  • Discounts and Specials
  • Informative Pages
  • Videos/Vlogs

4. Boosting Engagement

Social Media networks are perfect for generating audience engagement. These networks also require less physical effort to respond to any questions and concerns the public may have about your products and services. The great thing is that social media platforms prioritize highly engaging content. This means that if you have viral-worthy content, your business is more likely to blow up on social media. The best way to boost user engagement on your social media management accounts is by creating engaging content. This includes questions and videos people are more likely to respond to.

5. Provide Effective Customer Service

Man and Woman Engaged in Conversation Effective customer service is destined to lead to an increase in revenue, customer satisfaction, and retention. This is because it’s easier for people to ask questions on social media than to go through a long process of contacting a business and being put on hold. Quick and effective responses are a great way of separating your business from the rest of the competition.

How to Provide Effective Customer Service

Although you can’t write a script for everything, it’s a great way of cutting down miscommunication between employees who take care of your customer service. Here are a few things to consider doing:
  • Answers to Important Support Questions – Make sure you always have the answers to frequently asked questions on pricing, services, and other important topics.
  • Response Time – Turning on notifications for your business accounts will help you respond to any customer questions

6. Do Not Cross-Post

Cell Phone with Floating Social Icons We can never stress this one enough. Cross-Posting can have a negative effect across all of your business social media accounts. In short, cutting down on cross-posting in your social media goals will help your business look more professional.

How to Come Up With Unique Content?

Simply put, the best way to come up with unique content is by paying close attention to what your successful competition is doing. Now, we’re not encouraging you to take their ideas, instead build on what they are doing and start your own trends. Another great way to come up with unique content is by brainstorming with a small panel of influencers. This includes anyone in your business or partner company who is up to date with the latest social media trends.

7. Track Your Traffic and Engagements the Right Way

Man on Computer Tracking Analytics Although there are plenty of social media tracking tools out there, you don’t need all of them! For the most part, Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest do a pretty good job of providing users with useful analytical tools. For example, Facebook’s Insight tools allow users to keep track of important data such as Page Likes, Posts Engagements, and Post Reach. It also allows you to keep track of how well your past advertisement campaigns went, which can help correct any issues from the past. Getting familiar with these social media marketing tools has helped thousands of companies boost conversion rates and reach their social media goals.

What many businesses and marketing firms don’t realize is that cross-posting on social media can be killing a strong online presence. Although it may save you some time behind the keyboard, you may end up paying a high price in the long run. The following article explains why you should dump cross-posting and how to develop some new approaches for your Social Media Campaigns. [/av_textblock] [av_heading heading=’Why Dump Cross-Posting on Social Media?’ tag=’h2′ link_apply=” link=’manually,http://’ link_target=” style=” size=” subheading_active=” subheading_size=’15’ margin=” padding=’10’ color=” custom_font=” custom_class=” admin_preview_bg=” av-desktop-hide=” av-medium-hide=” av-small-hide=” av-mini-hide=” av-medium-font-size-title=” av-small-font-size-title=” av-mini-font-size-title=” av-medium-font-size=” av-small-font-size=” av-mini-font-size=”][/av_heading] [av_heading heading=’Different Platform Structures’ tag=’h3′ link_apply=” link=’manually,http://’ link_target=” style=” size=” subheading_active=” subheading_size=’15’ margin=” padding=’10’ color=” custom_font=” custom_class=” admin_preview_bg=” av-desktop-hide=” av-medium-hide=” av-small-hide=” av-mini-hide=” av-medium-font-size-title=” av-small-font-size-title=” av-mini-font-size-title=” av-medium-font-size=” av-small-font-size=” av-mini-font-size=”][/av_heading] [av_image src=’https://kdhdigitalservices.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/02/shutterstock_785222245-495×400.jpg’ attachment=’2118′ attachment_size=’portfolio’ align=’left’ styling=” hover=” link=” target=” caption=” font_size=” appearance=” overlay_opacity=’0.4′ overlay_color=’#000000′ overlay_text_color=’#ffffff’ copyright=” animation=’no-animation’ av_uid=’av-jsosykgt’ admin_preview_bg=”][/av_image] [av_textblock size=” font_color=” color=” av-medium-font-size=” av-small-font-size=” av-mini-font-size=” av_uid=’av-jsnpgpbs’ admin_preview_bg=”] Understanding the different uses behind each social media platform is crucial for social media marketing campaigns. Here are some of the best types of content that works for each social media platform:
  • Facebook – Focuses around all types of rich content (Articles, Videos, Pictures, and other attractive content).
  • Instagram – Great for sharing Pictures and Short Videos. Remember to throw in some hashtags and tags to improve post reach.
  • Pinterest – Great for sharing informative Pictures, Articles, and Videos. Specifically How-To-Guides and content.
  • Twitter – Perfect for quick updates. Twitter constantly updates every minute and should be used to target active audiences. Twitter also has a 280 character limit that can cut important messages being cross-posted from other social platforms.

Attentive social followers tend to notice when content creators post duplicate content. They’re quick to find any errors and will always point out accounts that don’t seem to care if their cross-posting on social media. This can make it difficult for you to build an audience and can cause you to start losing followers. Being careless about duplicate content is also a noticeable flaw. You’d stop watching your favorite television show if they reused the same lines and skits every episode. In the same way, you need to make sure your audience is receiving the quality content they deserve. That’s why it’s always a good thing to make refraining from cross-posting one of your social media goals for your company. This means that cross-posting a post from a certain social media platform can lead to some problems. For example, a user on Twitter can be tagged using @webMediaStar but is called @MediaStar on Instagram. Cross-Posting from Instagram will lead to an untagged user on Twitter. You might even end up tagging the incorrect account. Being unable to tag the correct profiles can lead to fewer audience engagement, B2C relations, and reduces your chances of growing the post’s reach. Well, they didn’t make it on the top results without a good reason. The majority of social media accounts that make it to the top search results on Google don’t post duplicate content! These accounts end up in the search results because the admins usually post content and information that isn’t found on other social platforms. Needless to say, good SEO habits are a great way to help you prevent cross-posting. Web Design
Web Design and Web Development may sound the same to the regular joe, but they’re truly two different services. The truth of the matter is that all web designers and web developers like to make sure their clients understand what they do. Paying attention to the differences can help you find the right digital service for your business or personal website. Let’s take a deeper look and highlight the key differences and similarities in the following article, Web Design Vs Web Development.

Web Design vs Web Development: At a Glance

What is Web Design?

Web Design deals with the development of the aesthetic and user-friendly segments of a website or platform. Designers are the ones to run to when you’re in need of a more appealing and navigable website. Professional Web Designers tend to use design programs such as Adobe and Affinity Designer to create appealing visual content.

What is Web Development?

On the other hand, Web Development deals more with the functionality of a website, app, or platform itself. This refers to any of the CSS, HTML, PHP, SQL, JavaScript, and other programming languages that play an important role in web files.

Web Design Vs Web Development: Similarities

Although different, Web Design and Web Development do have some basic similarities. Here’s a quick list of the similarities between the two:
  • HTML and CSS – HTML and CSS code are essential to both Web Design and Web Development. Although Developers specialize in code, designers should also have some knowledge in the area. Both code families determine the functionality of a website and how the final design looks.
  • User-Friendliness – Both web designers and developers work towards the user-friendliness of a platform. Designers help guide users throughout websites, while developers make sure all buttons, contact forms, and other interactable elements work correctly.

Web Design Vs Web Development: A Deeper Look at Both

In this section, we’ll take a deeper look into essential web design vs web development roles.

Examining Web Design

A Web Designer’s main goal is to deliver a beautiful and navigable website to his or her client. Great web designers go through many planning stages and design principles to produce a great user experience. The following are some key elements to look out for when you’re looking for a Professional Web Designer:
  • Color Schemes – Colors always matter when it comes to web design. Web developers tend to have a good eye for what works best in order to appeal to the greater audience. They consider every factor that can affect your online reputation including – Logos, Feelings, Contrast, and more.
  • Fonts/Typography – It just doesn’t make sense to have a beautiful website without perfect fonts and sizes. Expert Web Designers tend to choose out stellar fonts that the average person couldn’t find. Trust us, it makes a difference!
  • Rich Media Content – Even the best looking website would look bland if it didn’t include some distinct images, videos, and other media content. Web Designers understand the importance of images and how they can help the appeal of a page.
  • Organization – It would be tough to navigate and understand a website or app without organization. The organization part of websites includes the way menus and all content are laid out.
  • Consistency/Correction – Every page on a website should follow the same layout as the rest. This includes all of the key elements we covered above. It also includes spelling errors on images, headers, and paragraphs. Consistency helps maintain a clear image of the entity’s goals and purpose.

Examining Web Development

Web developers are also known as programmers or coders. Although hardcoding a whole website or program is becoming a thing of the past, it is essential for web developers to understand the ins and outs of how coding works. For example, anyone can make a website using a Content Management System (CMS) like WordPress, Wix, Joomla, or Umbraco. But, if the website ends up breaking or getting hacked, you’ll need someone that can use raw code to fix your problem. Here are some skills and scenarios web developers are helpful for:
  • Special Effects – Some special effects on websites can only be done through custom coding. No matter the coding language, it usually takes an expert to create rare effects. This also includes positioning and codes that can affect on-screen content.
  • Meta Data – The back end of websites can be organized to help give search engines a better understanding of certain websites. Meta Data can help SEO rankings including pages, blog posts, and media content.
  • Usability – Professional Web Developers can troubleshoot website problems. They also play a big role in redirects and the functionality of a page.
  • Site Speed – Many don’t know this one, but web developers can help cut down loading times for websites. Understanding how code affects loading time can be crucial to your site’s search engine rankings.

Final Thoughts on Web Design Vs Web Development

Now you know what to look for the next time you’re in need of some web work for your business or personal website. Many media companies, including KDH Digital Services, have dedicated web designers and developers that can handle any layouts and files that need fixing.
